Default Intermittent Whistling sound

I just heard it the first time a few days ago. Its not doing it constantly, otherwise I'd have dogs chasing me down the street howling.

The car is completely warmed up, been driving for about 1/2 hour on the highway. I let up off the gas and coast and hear a high pitched whistling sound. It seems like it goes away when I accelerate again.

Of course anytime I can pull over and stop and pop the hood it stops. Any suggestions?

Everything is stock except for the catback.

Is it a sign of the air pump failing? I'll check the air/egr connections when it warms up a little.

I've been debating lt headers, maybe this will make me take the plunge and get rid of air and egr.

Thanks for the suggestion.

no its just how it sounds, if you want to get rid of it you might want to rethink that, unless you dont have catalyic converters. other than that pull that stuff out.
