Power steering question, with PICS
Ok, so hopefully the third times a charm.
I found a picture of an LS1 rack and basically I need to know if there is any sort of seal or O-ring in the fitting circled in red.
Dealerships in my area are no help and none of the online parts stores show any seal for this area. The "seal kits" are for the PS pump, and the orings are for the larger hoses, not the hard lines.
It is leaking profusely and I have tried some standard automotive O-rings per the suggestion of my local dealership's parts department(What a joke, it leaked just as bad or worse than before).
When I originally pulled it apart there was something that resembled a seal or O-ring in there but it was in such bad shape I couldn't tell what it was.
If there isn't supposed to be one there do you think I have a cracked line? And if there is a seal there does anyone know where I can get one?

It is a O ring but it's made of some sort of hard plastic. If you have one near you try a hydraulic parts supply house. I have a place near me that sells and makes hoses and gave me one when mine blew.

Thanks a lot people! I'm gonna run to the local pull a part and grab a line off a wrecked car. The dealership said it would be a week before I could get one in. If I try this and it doesn't work at least there is one on the way.
