2X electrical problems

2X electrical problems 1. can i connect some wires together so that the trunk sensor senses that the trunk is closed, B/C mine is malfunctioning and i dont want to import a new one
2. my headlights always go up even though i only turn the light swich half way, the gears are worn on one side and since i never use the headlights anyway i just want to unplug them or make them so that they dont go up until i turn the light swich all the way.
