Ok lately Ive noticed that while driving my car sounds like its a big truck with huge wheels. You know the sound big tires make when you're driving, like a humming noise. Well thats what it sounds like.

Im afraid its the rear end, but it feels fine....anyone have any ideas?

 

Bearings would be my first suspicion

 

i would think it's wheel bearings or some other diff noise.... but to be sure.. carefully examine the tires, and check pressure.

 

Good responses above. Have you changed your tires recently or changed the psi?? Cheap tires get worse as they age too, if you have those type.

 

its not the bearing or the tires. its a whining noise starting at about 40mph and on deceleration as well. i have a new diff to replace it but i wanna make sure thats it before doing the work. thanks
