E-Brake Handle Vibrates
The background:
Car is a 2000 Z-28 A4
-LCA's, SFC's, Jegster torque arm, so the suspension is very stiff
-True Duals, Stock Internal Car No exhaust vibration
-Checked U-Joints and Driveshaft, everything is kosher
-10-bolt is slowly dying, whines like a banshee, but doesn't pop or clunk or anything
The noise is coming from the e-brake handle, I know this because if I hold the handle in my hand, the noise stops instantly, then comes back just as soon as I let go. The handle itself doesn't seem loose, but the whole assembly will wiggle back and forth about a half-inch pretty easily.
Just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas about dampening this vibration. I'm off work tomorrow, so I might fool with it if it's not raining too bad, and I'll report back over the weekend if anything gets better so that I could help anyone else with the same problem.

I had been using zip-ties to clean up the wires for my line-lock and fan switch, when I had an idea. I took the ends of the ties that I had cut off and wedged them in the e-brake mechanism where there was slack. You can't see the ties with the console on, so I guess as long as it stops the vibration, right? I didn't really feel like finding and installing the rivets that I would need to fix it.
On a subsequent test drive, I noticed a buzzing noise coming from the passenger -side seat adjuster handle also. Bent it back up a little bit and it stopped that noise.
So now, other than the howling-banshee of an axle that I have, all my annoying noises are gone! I'll rebuild the axle soon or buy an S-60.
