Default o2 sensor!!

ok my ses light keeps coming on and off all the time. i took it to a shop and scanned it well it told me it was bank one sensor one thats not working. well then i started driving it and the light went off so i didnt do much about it. Then lastnight after driving about 60 miles and it came on wtf! engine was at operating tempature all gages were fine i just dont understand why its coming on and off do i need a new one or what??

Its common for some O2 issues to be intermittent. The normal sensor readings are a waveform and not like a simple switch or a constant reading. (such as air or coolant temp) You may be getting a code when the waveform briefly dips over or under the PCM's limits - which may occur occasionally.

What codes are you getting? Are they just on one side?

Sometimes an O2 code will be caused by a different defective emissions component. (For example, I had a dirty MAF causing intermittent P0137 and P0157 codes.)
