Default Car won't start

I recently had to replace the power wire from my starter and the ground wire to the block because it burnt through and shorted out. Now that I have replaced those, when I turn my key to on, my dash and radio come on as normal. But, when I turn the ket to start, everything shuts off until I let the key go. I checked all of the fuses, and I used the fan relays go check the ignition and starter relays. The car still would not start. I do hear a clicking that sounds like it is coming from the driver side fuse box area. I can't figure it out...Could something have happened when the wires shorted out?

Check to make sure the hot wire is on the correct prong on the starter.
