Harmonic from transmission tunnel. HELP!!!
Swapped from a Jegster non-adjustable TA to a stocker with the UMI TA relocation crossmember yesterday to cut down on gear whine/resolve some vibration/clunking issues I've been having.
New crossmember works great, gear whine is back to being quiet enough to hold a conversation in the car, medium vibration at 70 is gone, clunking when on rough roads or hitting bumps is gone, and the car FEELS more solid. I should be happy right? Nope, got a new problem.

Heard a HORRIBLE new vibration/whine/God-I-don't-know-how-to-describe-it noise. Took a friend out on the road to get some help with figuring out where it's coming from. Figured out that it's coming from the transmission tunnel itself! If you feel the side of the tunnel next to the driver's seat, there is a hellacious vibration while the noise is occuring, it's like the tunnel is resonating with something in the car.
Talking with my friend, the only idea that we can come up with is that the fuel/brake lines that I flipped to fit my true duals higher are vibrating at JUST the right frequency. They are resting against the torque arm mount on the crossmember at the moment, I plan to take some rubber hose tomorrow and isolate the hoses from each other and the crossmember, hopefully that will take care of it. It's driving me nuts! If I can't get it figured out tomorrow, I'll take a video of the noise and post it for you guys.
Anyone seen anything like this? Any ideas besides the one that I already have? ANY help would be appreciated guys, this is my only car right now.
Just in case, I'm getting some sound-deadening material sometime soon and re-lining the transmission tunnel inside. I took off the trans sound deadening a long time ago thinking that I would never need it... I was wrong!
