New car!

The previous owner threw every bolt-on item he could think of at this car except for a real transmission. He said the stock unit held on for around 10,000 miles before it gave up.
I just got a new trans put in with lots of expensive parts inside. That's working fine. I'm still fighting code 43 though... When I changed the oil the other day, I noticed some light coming from deep in the engine compartment. I looked closer to find that one of the plug wires was resting against the header and shorting out.
I have the new wires and some iridium NGK plugs on the way. I'm just wondering if anyone has seen misfire set off the knock sensor. Anyone?

On Iridium plugs -- I was suckered into a package deal from Ebay. Plugs with wires came to $100. I'll let you know how that works out. Assuming that it fixes my knock issue, I'll be a very biased judge. The car has been pushing code 43 since I got it. I'm expecting a slight performance improvement...
