Old thread but very relevant to my problems, I'm going to try the OP's method, but I was just wondering, would this fix/help my loud *** powersteering whine?

I really don't want to deal with a new pump so I thought I'd try this first.

I thought you guys were exaggerating about feeling a difference but i had to go to the parts store after I used up the first quart, and DAMN! felt like I was driving a different car! Thanks guys.
