Default PCV location '98 SS?

Please help! I did do a search...had I purchased a '99 up I would know the answer. AutoZone diagrams include the 98 LS1 with the 92 - 98 5.7 motors. A GM Parts diagram show that it's inside a housing that is located in the drivers side valve cover....towards the back.

I tend to think the GM diagram is accurate. If this is the case, does the valve cover need to be removed? What are the specific steps to replace the PCV on the '98 LS1?

Thanks

The passenger side valve cover has short 3/8" od metal tube coming out of it with a rubber hose attached, which is part of the harness the PCV is associated.

Still looking for the PCV.

Parts diagram is wrong.

Look at the intake manifold on the passenger side right behind the throttle body there will be a 3/8" line follow it til about halfway up the manifold and the PCV will be in a a wad of foam.

I'm a happy guy now... thanks for your guidance. I don't think I would have ever found it on my own.

Thanks again.

Does it matter if I cut the insulation a bit on the tubing where the PCV is? I didn't know I could tear off some tape and slide it back till the damage was done.

If it is needed I'll just throw some refrigiration rubitex on it.
