Default steering gear leak.

I have a major leak coming from the steering gear, not sure if its the presssure line or the return or what. It started leaking, i tried to tighten it up but that made it much worse. Its a line that comes from the rack to the gear if that helps, and its the farthest one to get to on the gear. Does anyone know if there is supposed to be an o-ring on the tip of the stainless line? I tried to get a mirror to look inside the gear where the line goes in but i cant see anything, i also used a q-tip to try and pull out any dirt or loose/old o-ring and found nothing. Is there supposed to be an o-ring or is the steering gear shot or something? HELP!! Its pouring fluid
