Needs new headlight motor for drivers side or replacing headlight gear - I dont recommend just the gear though. Try search for headlight motor concern, there's a lot of info on here for it.

The gear is stripped. Only part of the gear is used however. What this means is that you have half the gear still unused. Take the linkage off the motor and then turn the manual **** untill the shaft that the linkage is attached to rotates 180 degrees and reattach the linkage. Or get a new motor or replace the gear. If you elect to replace the motor, spend the dough and get a new OE motor from the dealer. I have tried several remans and replaced several gears and the torque of the motor has always tore the gear cover off in a short time. Maybe I'm just using the wrong epoxe.

Those motors don't last as long as the stock ones and they have a limited warrant. The gears is always the problem. Replace the gears and thats it.Save your money for something better.http://www.fquick.com/videos/Install...ight_Gear/2024

no its not the motor its a stripped headlight gear. mine does it too, i would suggest replacing it with a set of metal ones because i just replaced mine and 2 weeks later it stripped again. the dealership will tell you its the whole motor but its only the gear that strips and a plastic oem replacement will run you about 15-20$

I know ppl dont like hearing this but my friend went threw 2 motors in 1 years. Of course i dont have paper proof or pics or whatever proof you need but i help my friend with the replacing the motors. so thats my proof.Last time we did the gears replacement ,it's fast, easier and still working 2 years later. I rather do the less expensive fix first then finding out the hard way and replace whole motor when the problem is the gear not the motor. I learned from his mistakes

The reason I'm asking is because I'm running remanufactured motors, and they've lasted me longer than the stock ones so far...

Of course, these are not Autozone ones though... Don't know anything about those.

I thought Autozone just started selling these?

My stock gear was stripped, so I replaced it with a metal one. Two weeks later, my motor was, and still is, completely dead. No noise, no motor turning, nothing.
