Light bulb issue

The left front turn signal bulb keeps blowing. I replaced it last summer and noticed the socket was a little brown, like it got a little hot. I changed the bulb and it worked fine. I just got the car out of storage a week ago and the other day the bulb went out again. I changed it this morning and by tonight, yup you guessed it! Whats weird is that there is liquid in both bulbs, the old one has a bluish color liquid and the one I put in today is yellow. Any ideas out there? And can I get a new socket from the dealer or do I have to hit up the boneyard?

Your corner blinker is collecting water and blowing your bulbs. Drill a tiny hole at the corner of the housing and it should drain that water build up.

The hole will help a ton, but won't save you entirely if you are driving in a bad rain storm. (I used the weephole to get me through a road trip when my lens cracked.) You probably have a hairline crack in your lens, which is letting the watter in. If you press on it lightly with your finger in different locations, the crack give and show you where it is.

You might consider getting a new sealed lens for the bulb. I believe mine was just $30 or $40 new.

I put a couple of holes in the bottom, we'll see what happens. I try not to drive it in the rain unless I have to, which I did last week. The socket wasn't in tight and I think thats why water got in there.
