Even at $110 thats not bad because you get the compressor manifold and both rubber hoses.
You might get someone to weld the line but I seriously doubt the price would be worth it, plus I've tried it and the oil inside the line always screws with the weld and it ends up leaking still.

If you've got the line off and there is a business that repairs hydraulic hose near you, you might save some coin. My shop uses a place called Ohio Hydraulics here in Cincinnati. We generally use them only when it is a real expensive hose like on some foreign cars. For $100 bucks I'd probably just buy a new hose but I have been real surprised sometimes at how cheaply they repair some stuff. They should give up front estimates, just a thought.

That sucks man, mine did the same thing after I installed a bigger sway bar...thought somehow I messed up the install. But it turns out for some odd reason the a/c line dropped and rubbed on the bar. I had to have the dealership replace it (other places told me they had to special order the part) and after it was replaced I looked at it and it was a couple inches above the sway bar. The mechanics didn't know why or how the old one dropped.
Several places told me that it had to be replaced since its the high pressure line, any patch job would blow out.
