sounds like an intake leak or your throttle body blade isnt closing all the way. try cleaning your tb and checking for intake manifold leaks

As far as I know it can not be adjusted.

Look at the throttle plate, it may be drilled or might not be closing all the way. Also listen around for vacuum leaks.

i think i found the problem. i pluged it in today at work to the obdII computer and it said the tps was at 0 when it was just sitting so then i started it up and the computer said it was idleing at 800 rpm! i think i trust the computer more that the tach so im not too worried about it. i also checked for vaccum leaks on the intake and didnt find any.

I had a similar issue with a leak on my pcv valve hose. I had a big hole in the backside of this hose and when I replaced it my idle dropped to normal.
