Default 234,000 miles and Seafoam?

Hey Guys,
I just bought me a 2003 C3500 with the 8.1 V8 Vortec motor. The truck has 234,000 miles on it and I was wondering if it was a good idea to run sea foam through vacuum, injectors and crankcase? I mean thats a lot of milage and I dont want to take the risk of it hurting the engine due to cleaning it out to much. Also yes Im planning a full tune up(air filter, oil filter, transmission filter, oil, tranny fluid, spark plugs, coolant flush, fuel filter)

Just let me know what you guys think,
Ben

I have a '94 Blazer with just over 200K on the clock, and I've been wondering the same thing. I'm currently running it through the gas tank and crank case, but haven't got the guts to try the intake yet.

Personally, I plan on changing the fuel filter once this tank of gas is gone, and I'm changing the oil after about 150-200 miles in the crank case.

I usualy would agree, but that's a lot of miles.

Just let it run the way it is.

I have no personal opinion, but I have come across a school of thought where others believe that cleaning carbon out of engines with high miles (while it may help with valves, etc.) can cause leaks in places where the carbon is helping shore up and plug up holes in weak gaskets.

do it. what will it hurt? u can safely do it to the crankcase in the oil tho, and watch out about changing the tranny fluid, if its really dirty leave it alone.
