Default Air conditioner Question

i searched the forums to see if anyone has the issue i am having. When its in hot weather the a/c doesnt blow as it should and i have been in other camaros and notice they blow colder than mine, but when the sun goes down my ac is fine...Anyone know how i can get it back to normal?

Go to a AC shop and get it serviced. Don't go and get one of those fill it yourself cans at your local parts store. Too much freon (sp) is just as back as not enough. Better to have it done right than risk paying more in the end.

yeah man. just take it to a service shop and have them diagnose it. costs about $40-$80 and its worth it. I just went through a similar situation. saved myself a few hundred bucks. good luck bro

sounds like you got **** built up between your condenser and radiator. check that first before you fork over money to have someone tell you what you could have checked yourself.

If it blows cold at night the charge should be ok, but can't hurt to make sure its full.

I think you need to clean your condensor.. Do that and it'll be ice cold again. 1998 car, your overdue if you've never done it by about 6 years.

The charge is low. That is why it is O.K. when demand is not that high but inadequate when the heat is up.

If you like your car and like working on it. Get some tools(unless you have them already) and go through it your self.

Just don't use the AC in a can repair garbage.
