Default Odd bogging issues

My TA has mildly ported heads, Trex cam, and full bolt ons. I had the car tuned last April. The car has been running great. In open loop it used to bog really bad. but only in open loop. You would go to leave the house, and start heading down the street, and you could give it throttle, it wouldn't really buck or anything, but you would be at half throttle, and it accelerated like cement mixer (just like it is putting down maybe 100hp.) Then you could keep giving it more and more pedal, and then at about 75 percent or so sometimes, it would all of a sudden go nuts and come out of it. It would bark the tires and take off. Then you would get out of the throttle, and it is bogging again, absolutely no power again, until you try accelerating through it. It doesn't feel like a missfire, jerking badly or anything, but it seems like it has the power that someone just shut off a bank of cylinders. Now its not only in open loop. It is stuck that way. Hot/warm/cold it doesn't matter. I have been told by my tuner that its the throttle body sticking. I swapped throttle bodies, and same issue. (how can a cable throttle body stick closed anyway? Any body have any ideas?

I just went and ran the car some, and for some reason, my right bank is running long term fuel trims of -14. while my left bank will run around -6 or -7. Then when I go to accelerate out of the bogging, they will both go to around -1 or -2. just watching the o2's and the left one fluctuates, bounces between 20 and 900. The other one just hangs at around 600 or 700 the whole time. Once the car cools down I plan on swapping the o2's from side to side to see what happens.

My guess is a bad o2 sensor, or maybe more. I'd start there!

Sounds like the behavior I had with a fouled/dirty MAF. When the car was parked the engine sounded fine. The problem came up only when the car was in motion and the engine was under load.

I did a MAF cleaning and was 100% afterward. Seems the PCM favors the MAF readings over the O2 sensor readings and throttle position sensor readings when calculating fuel mixtures?

Found it, I believe.... I swapped o2's and the issues with the o2's changed sides.. Through in a new o2 sensor, and all of the bogging issues are gone as of right now, with my luck that will change in about 10 minutes.

Glad I could help.

BTW, What brand 02's are you using? And are these in the stock manifolds or LT's?

Okay, I asked because I had bad luck using the Bosch 13111 sensors when I installed the LT's. Each year they would burn out on me.

18 months ago, I switched to the Denso's, and they have been running fine ever since. Knock on wood.
