Default Exhaust Systems

I am deciding between a Flowmaster and a Corsa exhaust system for my TransAm. I've heard, in person, what the flowmaster system sounds like, but have only heard the Corsa system on the net. Does anyone have any suggestions, or know if the Corsa system is better? First of all, I like the looks of the Corsa system better, but I do not want to sacrifice sound. Thanks

You'll sacrifice power if you go with the flowmaster system. It's terrible for the f-body.

What he said, and do a search and read the exhaust thread. The Flowmaster for our system is widely beleived to sound good but flor bad. (hence the nickaname some give it of "flowcrapper")As for the Corsa, IMO it is not worth spending that much money for a cat-back. There are plenty of nice systems out there for >$350 that are more than adequate. Have you considered a Magnaflow, for example?

like blkZ28spt there are better cat backs to spend your money on the cora. i love the look of it, but not 700+ dollars worth

i had flowmasters on my old set, which was stock manifolds and Y. it might not flow well but it sounded dope to me. nice deep idle

with that said, my new exhuast Jet Hot LT, custom Y and magnaflow catback. you can hear clips in my sig.

the magnaflow aint as deep as the flowmaster but it certaintly flows better and its a very high quality stainless steel setup that looks bad ***.

plus i picked it up for 300 even and you cant beat that price

spend 40 dollars on a dynomax race bullit, then 100 bucks on a custom install with a custom y pipe and have THE absolute best exhaust sytem for our cars that isn't true duals. "DYNOMOUTH"
