LS6 Intakes on the bottom are flat as where the ls1 bottom is not flat

also you can get the serial number off of it and search on here.

LS1 intakes have an egr port right behind where the tb bolts up, LS6 intakes do not.

^^LS1 corvette intakes do not have EGR either, so it's best to grab the P/N as well.

Yep, I didn't realize until I helped my friend change his oil pressure sending unit on his 98 and then another on a 99 vette

P/N is the best way and then the flat bottom. There is a sticky somewhere on here about it.

The Stock 2001-2002 F-body LS6 intake is 12561184.

The Z06 LS6 intake is 12573572.

The part number is stamped on top of the manifold, should be on the driverside.

This is probably a stupid question but is there any difference in the 2? Will the Z06 intake work on a 98-00 F-body?

As far as I can tell, there is no difference in performance between the Z06 and the standard LS6 intake. Unless you feel that paying the "corvette tax" for a Z06 intake is worth it, don't bother.

And yes, the LS6 intake will do wonders for a 98-00 car. You have some coolant line issues, but that is easily taken care of. You can either buy the correct coolant lines (ones for 01-02) or just take a chisel and knock off the reinforcing "fins" on the bottom. I prefer the chisel method, as I am a cheap sob.
