Default lid vs CAI?

hey guys, i did the research to see the differences but I still have more specific questions.

I've looked up and seen that K and N air induction kits give you like 15whp to a stock car.

I've also noticed that the SLP lid is much cheaper and wonder if it would give you the same horsepower?

Also Ive seen othre kids like fast toys ram air (FTRA) and wonder how much hp they give u, also some ones on ebay but idk how efficient they are. SO my main question is which one would give you the most hp for your penny, the car would be a 6 spd camaro ls1 with LT headers, exhaust and maybe cam's one day). thanks alot - cory d

That K&N number you have is WAAAYY generous, its not giving you 15 rear wheel.

as far as $/hp, the lid cant be beat. the FIPK may give you a little better number, but not for what you pay for it.

plus the FIPK is hideous.

the slp lid gave my 02 ws6 10 rwhp. ive got the dyno to prove it. if you dont have the raised airbox and ram air get the fast toys kit. then move on to more fun mods

A SLP lid & the free ram air mod & a K&N Filter is the cheapest.

cutting out a hole in the bottom plastic of the air box. you can search and find more on it. there is some controversy on whether or not it does anything or just sucks up dirty hot air,
