Thumbs up O2 Sensor(delete)

Ok, I just purchased a new exhaust system(Thanks, Josh!). Which consists of a set of Mac mid lenght headers, an off-raod Y-pipe and a Borla cat-back to wrap out the system.

Now my question is since, we are in the process of deletin the 2 02 sensors w/ 20ohm resistors. The 4 wires and how to tell 'em apart for being able to make the right connections for the resistors? To be able to get rude of the SES lite thrown b-cuz of the two O2 sensor that have been eliminated.

Has anyone done this mod w/ success or know what we should be lookin @ for the proper connections of the resistors??? To satisfy the ECM and eliminate the SES lite?

I'm thinkin, we can just check the continuity thru the O2 sensor(which are still in tack w/ the (deleted)connectors/seals, for now) and use those two wires for the resistors. What's you guy opinion of this???

Thanks in advance,
Don

One thing I forgot to mention was that we've blocked off the EGR tube and therefore eliminated the EGR.

Now, w/ that havin been said, it may be what is cuzin the SES lite to come on, also.

What has been the experience of you guys in this situation??? Should I also, be lookin @ the EGR as to bein the cuz for the ESE lite???

I know I could get The General(w/ the stealership labor prices to read the codes set. But, just short of that, what do I need to be lookin @ to get the ESE lite to clear???

Thanks in advance,
Don

make it easier for yourself and just have somebody flach your pcm to delete the O2s and the EGR...

Yes, I agree, now. After havin read a few different links on the varable voltage output the 4wire O2 sensor give off durin normal operation.

So, I've managed to located a source for a couple of the O2 simuators and I've ordered a couple for the Z28.

http://fasttoys.net/shop/index.php?cPath=84_24_28_473

It appears the resistors would work for awhile. But, since the resistors wouldn't vary in the voltage output the code(s) would eventually come back. So, just to put an end to this, now. I've gone ahead and ordered a couple of the simuators to plug in to the deleted O2 sensors plugs on the off-road pipes

Thanks again for the advice.

Later,
Don

y don't you just go to your nearest oreilly auto parts store and get it plugged in there. They let you use it for free. And you can see what codes you have cuz im sure if you deleted the egr that you ses light will come on. Instead of wasting you money buying 02 sims that don't always work. you could just get them programed out.
