stock air lid modification

has anyone tried using a grinder or something similar to get the baffles out of the stock air lid? i'm just thinking ways to save money!

I didnt remove the parts on the bottom of the lid like you are talking about. I did get rid of the baffle though until I bought my slp lid. I didnt see much by going to the aftermarket lid from this to be truthfull.

meh. my buddy and i took a dremel and ground the fins off the inside of the lid and removed the baffles off of his assembly. it was good for a gain of DICK. wasted time and effort. leave it alone. lids are for pussies, real men have single planes and a carb style tb on top.
