i'd say get some better headers. go w/ stainless, either qtp, kooks, or american racing. why waist money on something thats essencially the same thing as the pacesetter for quality. not saying paceseetters quality isnt good. its great for the price. but its time to upgrade. go big and you'll be happy the rest of ur life.

I too had my pace setters blowout like that on me. I took it to a mufler shop and they welded the hole shut for a temporary fix. Im now looking to replace my Pacesetters with maybe kooks and the exhaust with corsa. Im not impressed with Pacesetter, best thing about them was the price.

im really not a fan of pacesetter's, but unless you have bigger plans than where you are at, i dont think that the switch to i new set of headers will really be worth it.

you will see some gains if you step up to either a 1 7/8" header, or a higher end brand (like QTP, kooks, ARH) but the gains should be negligable. now if you plan on bigger cubes or an FI setup, they might be beneficial, but if you are sticking with what youve got, id just weld that junk up.

i ordered the Kooks 1 7/8" race header my mods are Fast 90/90, UD pulley, ms3 cam, and a 150 shot... the kooks will help me out a lot.. i just can't wait for them!!! i'll get vid to see if it sounds different... i'll be running high flow cats with the kooks cuz im tired of the nasty gas smell from my pacesetters with no cats... hope it doesn't rob me some HP

You should have ditched that AIR/EGR **** before you bought the headers and then you would not have the hole to deal with...but since you didn't weld it up and ditch that crap and you will be fine.

I just put on a set of LPP stainless 1 3/4 headers, $600 with the ORY, no dyno #'s or anything but they fit perfectly. I liked paying half the price for what i would have spent on Kooks or ARH, no offense they make awesome products but i would look into those as well, I have them on my LT1 also.

Kook's 1 7/8 race headers would be my suggestion.
