Default SLP Loudmouth muffler replacement???

I just bought this car and knew I didn't like how loud the exhaust was, so it's time to find the best route to quiten it down without restricting it too much. Looks like the cheapest would be to find a bullet style muffler that could be welded in place of the SLP one. Anybody done this, and happy with the sound and flow?

depends on what brand you go with, but once it gets broken in its more than likely going to be just as loug as the SLP...if you're wanting to quiet it down but keep good flow an sound go with a turbo muffler(square one)

I've got the same problem and I think I'm going to put the Borla XR1 in place of the LM resonator. People do this all the time, if you do a search for Borlamouth or Magnamouth you'll get a ton of info and sound clips. Replacing the resonator should help out a lot, just research and make sure you get the one that YOU think sounds the best.

Im doin the borla xr-1. The problem with the square mufflers BTW is that the Loudmouth pipes run wayyyy to close to the driveshaft to safley fit in anything but a round resonator/muffler.

DONT get the Magnaflow muffler to replace the SLP one if you have long tubes. I did this right before I had my long tubes put on. I was really disappointed. Sounds good at idle and WOT but from 2k to around 3k it sounds terrible. Raspy and sounds like a beat up truck driving around. I'm getting true duals this weekend with 3 chamber magnaflows to solve my problem.

Dynomouth here. I absolutely love it. Quieter than the resonator and a deeper tone but it still barks when you jump on it.

This is my car on ls1sounds.com

I will most likely go with the Borla xr-1 if I ever get around to replacing my LM1 resonator. Has anyone noticed a reduction in the amount of drone from switching from the LM1 resonator to the borla/magna/dynomouth? The drone is the major thing that I want to reduce.
