baker hose will not fit!

baker hose will not fit! Ordered a camaro hosr from baker. Inside dia. is 3.5 on one end and 3.75 on the other. Has anybody got this to fit. I tried microwaving it for a minute but that did not help. How in the hell is this thing supposed to fit right when the outside diameter of the maf is almost 3.75" and the TB is like 4". I called them to see if I got the right part, I did. told them it did not fit and they said the next closest thing they had was a straight 4" or a 3.5"-4" piece. They said nobody else has ahd any problems! WTF!

The first time you try to install the hose it can be a very tight fit ( no need to micro it ), I've never installed one on a TA but it should be about the same as a Camaro. Re: baker hose will not fit! and sometimes a little spray silicone on the piece helps it to slide on....
Re: baker hose will not fit! I had trouble with mine at first too. I slide it on the throttle body and then worked it on from the inside. Once it's on there the maf should slide right in. I trimmed mine at an angle to eliminate the bend.

Re: baker hose will not fit! I had trouble trying to get it on the the TB becuase it is a .25 inch in dia. smaller. What technique did you use to stretch it on to the tb, and the MAF?

Re: baker hose will not fit! I have the Baker Hose with no problems once it was trimmed. Wiggle it on the TB first, then shove the MAF into it. Lots of wiggling.
Oh, and Baker "lost" my first order, so I'd certainly call back lerajie. It took me a few calls to get it to my door. And it certainly looks better than a Fernco.

Re: baker hose will not fit! ive had mine on for about a year now and had some problems getting it onto the MAF but the side that your putting onto the throttle body should be cut different. the hose part that goes over the top of the TB should be longer then the part of the hose that goes on the the bottom of the TB hole. so the TB end of the hose is kinda shaped like a "C"

Re: baker hose will not fit! finally got it onto my throttle body........ way too tight! I'm gonna send it back. I don't feel like going through all this hassle whenever I need to take my lid off. Thanks for the help anyways..

it.... GO to the local hardware store and get a Fernco for $3. Easy install.. But to make it fit, I say boil some water and stick one end in there for a few seconds that'll soften it up.
