Default Pro and Cons of Loud Mouth?

Well, I wanted GMMG, and now have come to the realization that it is not what I want. From what I have heard from GMMG owners is that it has quiet road manners. That is not what I want. I want loud, and Loud Mouth or Dyno Mouth is the way to go. I have heard all the bad crap about Loud Mouth, and I know that to some it is annoying, but not to me. I have been in a car with this, and I loved it. People look at you, parents shake their heads an I like that. So here it is, the questions from HELL!!
1.)How loud is it at WOT
2.)Idle
3.)Cruise
4.)And just driving around town.
If it is anoying, then tell me. If it is too loud and neighbors hate it, then tell me that too. I basicly want a full pros and cons review. Thanks.

I have the Loudmouth on my car. I remember having the worlds biggest evil grin on my face the first time I started it up after installing it, hehe.

At idle, it's not a whole lot louder than stock, but you can tell it's not stock.
At WOT, it screams... loudly... like it's supposed to.
As far as cruising, well it depends on the speed you're cruising at. There's a drone from it, but it's not that bad, and you get used to it quickly.
In normal driving, yeah I hear it, but it's no big deal to me anymore. At night, when driving around my neighborhood, I try to go slow and keep the RPMs down to keep it quiet.

Pros:
- Awesome low RPM growl
- Even more awesome WOT sound
- Sounds like NASCAR when going through an underpass at WOT
- One of (if not the) best flowing of the catback systems
- Bang for the buck
- Easy to install

Cons:
- Plan to do headers and/or ORY? Then I'd suggest some Bullet mufflers or you may go deaf.

That is all.

I thought it was perfect for my stock setup. I live in Boston, MA so when I had headers, not cats and just the Loud Mouth I HAD to change it.

I like loud cars ALOT but I couldn't drive it around the city without making stupid amounts of noise just crawling around at 1300 rpm. It was LOUD.

If I was in the suburbs or country I would of never added a bullet.

With headers and ORY you WILL have rasp. I heard people talk about it, but thought it wouldn't bother me. Bullets seem to help, but I just went with duals. The opportunity presented itself, what can I say.

my friend has a LM on his 93 LT1 car w/ stock manifolds, and !cat and it was LOUD in 1st 2nd and 3rd it was deal loud but once he got up to where the converter locked up it wasnt too bad. His lt1 car didnt have that bad a rasp but it was pretty loud even for my ears just at 3-10mph lol His neighbor called the cops on him just cuz it keeps waking him up in the morning when he drives by so he might end up having to change it...for me a borla would at least give me good sound but adjustability enough that i can run all the exhaust through a muffler to cut out some sound even if i got some LT's.

I have it and love it. I am now looking into headers, though I want to keep my cats, so I may just go all SLP, headers, cars, ypipe, and LM!!!

He complained of the loudmouth on an LT1 with no cats.......and IMO it is NOT pretty quiet on a stock car. I was stock plus loudmouth for 18 months before doing headers and true duals....there is hardly any sound volume difference b/t stock plus loudmouth and headers/true duals with no cats. Duals sound WWAAYY better though It sounds like the loudmouth is perfect for you, just as it was for me.....GET IT!

It is not pretty damn quiet on a stock car. It is without a doubt the loudest catback available for the LS1.

I've got longtubes and a dynomout and think it's the sweetest sound in the world. I had deleted the cats before I had the LT's and it was loud as hell

Loudmouth is awesome IMO. Sounds sweet at WOT, although there is some drone around 2000-2500 RPM. You get used to it quickly, though.

Dude, if ya just want LOUD, keep your existing cat-back and add a cheap $35 cutout!. Trust me, it doesn't get any louder than that on a stock car and it sounds nearly identical to a Loudmouth(which also uses no muffler). The LM is nothing more than straight pipes.

And for what it's worth, I had the LM before my GMMG, and there was not much difference in total volume at all. The LM was slightly louder at idle, but that's it(GMMG was every bit as loud throughout the entire rpm range). Oh, and the GMMG sounds a LOT better than that loudcrap(it actually has a real tone). I'm sorry, but the LM just has no sound quality to it. People look at the car because it is loud, not because it sounds good. At least with the GMMG or true duals, the car is not only loud, but sounds really good while making that noise.

If ya haven't already heard these clips of the GMMG, tell me these stock LS1's aren't quiet with this cat-back?!

Uh, they aren't stock, they are the Blackbird, ZL1 and Intimdator SS. They are not stock when it comes to the cam either, Z06 or better all the way on that one. I have heard the Loud Mouth drive by, and it has a tone, not as rich as GMMG, but that is a different story. Hands down for the money, Loud Mouth is the best, and if you want to spend some dough, it's time for GMMG but I can't. GMMG is not as loud as you all say, in fact, it quite quiet unless you lay into it, much like Corsa. If you want tone just add a Borla bullit muffler. Loudmouth has a wicked WOT sound, the way it sounds at drive by is un-matched. The sound recoils, and echos off of every thing like a NASCAR. We are not here to discuss how much better GMMG is then Loud Mouth because GMMG would obviously win. I am getting Loudmouth, not GMMG, the price is not worth it. I found one used, and don't think it is worth it for a used exhaust system, when I can get Loud Mouth brand new.

If you are goin to get the loudmouth get a purple hornie muffler put in it is much deeper sounding and does not resonate in the cab and vibrate everything i was going to get loud mouth until i rode in a car with gmmg and that got me hooked but my friend has a camaro with loudmouth and it resonated and vibrated everything in the car and with the windows rolled up it was cool for a while to hear the exhaust but when you wanted to talk accelerating on the freeway or listen to music i hate to say it but it was too loud

The loudmouth is definately loud. As I stated above, in my opinion and that of many people that I know my car is almost exactly the same volume with Longtubes/no cats/true duals 3" dynomax bullets as it was stock plus loudmouth. Of course, the open headers that I ran for six weeks in between were definately LOUD!!

ive been in one car with a loudmouth and it was annoying as hell. i like loud cars and its damn loud outside but the interior resonance is ridiculous for a car with stock manifolds and cats. id suggest puttin the cash up for borla. nearly as loud outside the car but 3 times as quiet inside the car. even with the windows up, the loudmouth is annoying and this was at 45mph not even at highway speeds. btw, my borla has no plate and hasnt had one since i bought it.

Were these on M6s? I hear that Loud Mouth sounds better on a A4 then on an M6 for some reason. Oh, and drive in my car, Flowmasters resonence is much much worse then Loud mouth. Loud Mouth's is just louder but less dull, so it doesn't hurt your ears.
