Default Katech tensioner...

I get my katech belt tensioner tommorow. This better solve my belt throwing issues, cause ive been throwing/shreading belts every WOT run. Today i went and checked all the accessories to see if everything was torqued down, and seems everything checked out. I shall keep you updated

100% solved my problem. As long as everything else is tight, its impossible for the belt to come off.

ive probably spent over 200$ on belts over my "lifetime" with my camaro, it was getting kinda old slaughtering all the belts. Would your belt slip and start shreading up?

Yep, Katech tensioner solves your problems. Mine was throwing belts and/or shredding them as well. Haven't had a single issue since I installed it. Another benefit is that belt installation/removal is much easier with this setup because you don't have to hold the tensioner down while you are messing with the belt. Seems kind of pricey when you first look at it, but it has been worth every penny.

Yep, should still use the same size belt. Why did you have a hard time putting the belt on? It should be very easy. Just loosen the bolt on the back of the tensioner, slide the belt over it, use a torque wrench to tension it to 25ft./lbs. and tighten the bolt back down on the back of the tensioner. I find this much easier than the stock tensioner. Anyway, if you installed it correctly you should never throw a belt again.

I love mine, but the belt is kinda a PITA with the belts I have. I need to just get a little longer belt when I buy some new ones.

You can also combine the Katech tensioner with the regal pulley. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...swap-pics.html
