Default you running a ported victor jr?

talked to TEA today and mike said i would have to send my heads and intake in to get the intake ported.
i guess these intakes are so horrible that he has to epoxy up the factory gasket holes and plane the intake before porting. this will require me to run a std paper gasket, which isnt a big deal, but i like the ease of the o ring gaskets.
anyone running a stock or ported version that didnt go to all the expense?
i dont want to leave power on the table, but this type of work is going to get expensive.
thanks for any input.

ill get a better idea of where im at once the long block is together and i can bolt the intake on and see whats really happening.

Why not run a super victor? The runners are much larger and shouldn't require as much porting.

that is my ultimate goal. i cant see spending 550 bucks when all other super victors are MUCH less. even the efi version is under 400 bucks.
i purchased a super victor off this site, but it had been modified. wasnt happy about that, but i was refunded.
