Default California legal headers?

I go to LS1.com and I couldnt get an answer there. I am basically looking for some california legal headers but not shorties. LTs would be great but I'll settle for mid length.

shortys are the only legal ones. no mid or long tube is legal. you can always get longtubes and pay someone to help you pass if you know what i mean.

In CA, do the inpection stations actually look and measure, to see if the catalytic converters are in thier exact stock location??

I mean the LT's only push the cat down some. Here in NY, as long as the cats are on the car, any station here would pass the inspection. I've even had the GM dealer pass my TA's inspection with LT's.

i just put longtubes on my car and i kept my stock exhaust just in case. but... there are plenty of shops that dont do the visual inspection. only thing is you have to find them.
look for a local car club and ask them how they got around the sniffer.

Well I'll go for it then. How much did your hooker headers cost you?

yes, go from the bottom. its the only way to put them in. since your swapping engines you can just drop the whole thing and install them with the engine.

Yeah man just go for it!!!!!!!!!! That's what I did. IMO I think it's kind of pointless to get anything other than LT's. You'll be very happy with them and won't regret it. You just have to talk to the guys and hint that you don't think it will pass. Got mine with an ORY and that's how I talked to them. The first shop I went to helped me pass with a fee. DO IT!!!

I just installed LT's on Saturday and that **** is LOUD AS HELL! I live in Cali and I wouldn't get anything else, but LT's. Hopefully, I can get my custom Y done ASAP so I can hear how it sounds with my GMMG.
