Thumbs up

That would be great! Just some external shots. Dont expect you to pull the TB off and take inside shots, but I wouldn't try to stop you. I have no doubt they do quality work inside and out on these things.

That is all you guys want is pictures of where the snout is epoxied to the intake?
I work with composites and epoxies at my job, for the past year I have been trying to figure out what exact epoxy TPIS used on the intake

It is a very good quality piece and still looks brand new
I kinda inherited it from a friend of mine that used it on his h/c ls-1 then it was on his 408 if I remember correctly so knowing the results of the intake it got passed over to me for my H/C car..

But I will get some pictures it is to cold outside for me to go as far as removing the t.b. but I will get a pic without the bellows on and ect..
I have put about 26,000 miles on this intake not counting how long it was used before me..
I also have another friend of mine that has one on his H/C car but he is in Afghanistan rightnow..

I thought about this route too but when you consider a Vengeance ported FAST, the numbers will look even better for the FAST. Some guys gain 10-15rwhp over the box stock FAST (which is what you guys ar comparing here).

I will just save and go with a pro-ported FAST.

If you haven't seen this thread yet, you may want to get on this train by Friday if possible. A Vengeance ported Fast 92 intake for $899!

Man, why is it so hard to get pics of this unicorn? Can someone that has purchased one these explain the purchase process? Their website has 2 prices....$350 for the modified intake and $500 for the core. If I send them just $350, do they wait for me to send in my manifold to use for the modification and then send me mine back without messing with a core?

That's a killer price for a ported FAST.

This is the TPIS 90mm oval set-up.
I still don't know what the full potential of my set-up yet because it is on safe tune and I am having injector issue's in a few weeks it will be going to Cartek for a tune and larger injectors..
It was cold out my hands were shaking to much holding the camera so some of the pic's came out blurry sorry guys..
The core charge works like most other core charges they refund you the core charge once they receive your old intake..
If you send them your Intake then you skip the core charge..

Thanks for taking the time NJ. I appreciate the pics and the info. The large pics don't work by clicking on them, but's that's ok. I've pretty much made up my mind and will be going this route. Get inside and warm up!

hey, I noticed on there website they have a dyno comparison of the stock ls2 against the ls6 with a 90mm opening on a 412cui LS2 with 1 3/4 headers and a tune. Everything was left the same except the intakes. Below is the dyno comparison:

You know Ive seen this as well but Im not so sure. Some people run the TPIS intake and are very happy with it and make good power. I would definetly like to see some back to back testing by a forum member, but as the prices for used 90/90 combos keep coming down (Ive seen several for 600 shipped!) it makes this whole concept less appealing.

That above comparison is also without a retune. The long one with all the intakes. Im pretty sure that a retune is a needed item when increasing this much air intake.

Either way im kind of stuck on the option also. Its still abit cheaper then i have found FAST 90/90 combos for. I havnt seen any as cheap as 600.00 for both, it seems most fast intakes alone are going for 600.00 or more used. Not including the TB. I have found a few in the 400 range, but most have cracks that have been repaired. I might have to be the test mule on this intake modification.....

Well I spend an inordinate amount of time looking! They are usually gone withing about a half hour.
As far as being a test mule that would be pretty cool. Like I said it would be nice to see a forum member post results.
