how much HP does the Borla plat cost you? Answer inside about 20 rwhp ... dyno'd yesterday with the smallest Borla plate in vs. last dyno a few weeks ago without it. Previous was 415 rwhp and yesterday was 399 rwhp. I thought the car felt weaker since putting it in but didn't think 20 rwhp!!!!
Re: how much HP does the Borla plat cost you? Answer inside Really I wouldnt say it was a 20hp drop you really need to have the car dynoed on the same day to account for weather changes, gas, and a number of other things but im sure it robs some power.

When I was at the track with back to back runs going from full block off to no plate It would be about 2 tenths difference. It was the same difference everytime I went to the track . BTW if anyone is interested I dropped another .10 by going to true duals over the wide open borla.

who cares what it was uncorrected???? corrected are all that matters.

I tested this 3 times because I didn't believe it.
So I ran it completely closed.
It was quiet and really fast...a good combo.

Re: how much HP does the Borla plat cost you? Answer inside It feels like it has more down low when the closed plate is in due to the more backpreasure. But then again its a borla muffler and thoes are some of the highest flowing mufflers made.

Re: how much HP does the Borla plat cost you? Answer inside It does matter corrected/uncorrected. If both runs were uncorrected, the weather itself could account for 10-15rwhp difference. With correction, that weather difference would be minimalized.
Re: how much HP does the Borla plat cost you? Answer inside Steve, The humidity was very high yesterday as well, and most people were down slightly on their numbers. That may have something to do with it as well.
