iono changed the tranny mount from poly to stock and its driveable now lol all it did was dampin the vibration. i think i know what it is but i gotta pull the trans out i think the flange on the end of the crank might be warped or something so im going to put a indicator on it and see where its at.

The poly mounts do amplify the vibration. Im almost to the point where i think mine has been there for awhile, and when i did the polys it just amplified it. But the initial vibration has to come from somewhere. I ordered a March dampener, i really hope that fixes it. If not ill probably change the trans mount out like you did and see if i can live with it too. Ive lived with it the way it is now for a year now, but it just got to where it wasn't fun to drive anymore. Hope you figure it out.

I would do a cylinder balance test - it sounds to me like firing issue, not a balance issue.

Subscribing. I bet its more internal. When I did my clutch I also put in a poly trans and torque arm mount, already had poly engine mounts in. It really amplified the noise/vibration coming from my 10 bolt . To the point where I don't even like driving above 60mph. Next mod: Midwest Rear.

Poly trans mount did make it harsh, but it also made the car more stiff and feel less mushy.

Good luck finding it! Junkyard 6.0s are pretty cheap...

Default Fix??

I just bought a 2000 Trans Am and I am having the same issue... Did you ever track down where the vibration was coming from?? I have the poly mounts, tourqe are, pan hard, sub frame connectors and everyone is saying that is where my vibration is coming from...

I ended up taking my poly trans mount out and it made it so much nicer to drive. It vibrated like crazy before.

Poly engine mounts =

Poly engine mounts + poly trans mount =
