2800 to spend on the WS6, I need recommendations!
Alright we'll in the coming month I'm wanting to budget 2,800 or less into my WS6. Now I have a Torquer 2 waiting for an install in March. So I was wondering if any of you guys got any other advice on what other performance mods should go with my setup. Setup includes; 1 3/4 LTs, Full BMR- Suspension and soon a Torquer 2. Thanks in advance

That T2 is alot nicer with a set of heads. 5.3 stage 2.5 heads from Texas Speed will do the trick. If your in there anyways id do it all at once.
Other then that Id possibly look at a 12 bolt or 9inch.

if you are smart, you will get a 9 inch or 12 bolt.. get whichever you can find cheaper..
if you HAVE to have more power.. get a NICE set of heads.. something like trick flows, or AFR's..
id do a killer cam only setup (cam FAST supporting mods) with a 9 inch..
before i would do a H/C setup with a stock rear..

I wouldn't drop serious cash on a rear unless you actually go to the track with decent tires. I was running 427RWHP on my stock rear and stock clutch without problems although the clutch was probably starting to slip a little bit. With the cam done I would definitely do a good set of heads, LS6 intake (if you don't have one yet), and a clutch. You're going to need it with that much power...450RWHP+. You can easily get heads/clutch for $2800 if you do the install. You can then start saving up for a rear end. If you drag alot more then I would do the rear first for insurance.

if you dont launch your car (street and roll races) then get power mods... if you launch your car GET A REAR END!!!!!
you are hearing this from people that have been there and done it... i have over 400rwhp and cant launch my car without worrying my rear is going to explode... i have nitrous, and cant use it out of the hole..
why would you "skip" spray? you can go faster for a LOOOOOT cheaper.. granted there are some nice setups out there... but compare that to a sprayed car.... money wise, no comparison..
and yes i understand a killer nitrous setup will run you about a $1500... but a killer turbo or supercharger setup will be multiplied a few times over to get the same power..
skip nitrous if you can...

You could just not spray it out of the hole. Check out Harris Speed Works. I just got a plate kit with bottle, MicroEdge Controller, bottle warmer and purge kit for less than a grand. Then save the $1800 and use towards a new rear when you can afford it.

when you have a tight budget, you usually should stay away from forced induction..
if it looks like it is going to take 3k... in the long run if you do it right it will end up being 5k with FI..

That would be nice going the FI route but, I'm not sure if I wanna do that just yet. It'd be nice, but expensive eventually I'm sure. I'm thinking either some heads with nitrous though still then I'll go with a rear-end after. I'm not really looking forward to heading to a track either, so mostly roll races
