Default catch can?

Ok I know there are some good one's that some of our sponsors sell, but what about one like this from ebay?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts...3A1|240%3A1318
I really don't see spending 80plus on a catch can... even though Ive spent way more on things equally as dumb. I just was wondering if I could save a few bucks with a ebay can. So let me know what you guys have and what home made things you guys come up with...

You can't tell how well a catch can will perform by looking at the outside. The inside is where the critical design is most important. When it comes to catch cans there are VERY FEW that really work.

Personally, I wouldn't use the linked catch can as toilet much less put it on my engine.

The only brand I use and know work are from Saikou Michi: http://www.saikoumichi.com

I was looking at these last month. There's a square corner one I like, think it was like $40.

I also recommend this catch can. I've had one sitting at home in my engine bay for about 4 months now and love it.

Just like all the others. A hollow can with fittings and 2 separator screens.

Just what I thought, throw this one in the huge pile of crappy, ineffective catch cans on the market.

Heck if your going to do this, why not just use a soup can?

Unless you are running a lot of boost or doing some actual racing you don't need a "fancy" can. I have to clean this one out every time I change my oil. Before I got this one I had an air/water separator for an air tank that I got at Lowe's for $10.

If you had a catch can that really worked and/or ran 4 or 5 HPDE's per year you would have a different opinion. I can absolutely state with 100% certainty your statement is incorrect.
