Magnaflow is stainless so will last. Get the quad tip or some replacement tips for it. It's quiet-ish but you will appreciate that if you add headers and/or remove cats. I've heard the Hooker on stock and full exhaust cars, not my taste, but it's just that. The Magnaflow has a cleaner sound to my ear. It IS better quality, though, seeing is believing on that one.

Loud exhaust gets old on a daily driver, remember that.

Magnaflow for sure. Waiting to get my car out of storage; can't wait to put it on. I like the single tips on the TA, but dual tips on the Camaro. Single tips on the Camaro make it look like someone just threw a truck exhaust on it.

Check out the link in my sig concerning the hooker. Its a very free flower and quiet. Definitely makes a good stealthy muffler.

You are right it doesn't really matter which way you go on this one. It is personal preference. They both sound awesome, but different. Both make great power. The Magnaflow is stainless but also more expensive. Just weigh your options and pick the one that suits you best!

Thanks,
Shane

The Hooker does feel kinda heavy to me. Does anyone know the weight difference between the two mufflers?

Ive been looking at both hooker and magnaflow since headers...tired of loud. The hooker sounds a little deeper, and the price is nice, so it gets my vote.

So all things being equal the Magnaflow is quieter than Hooker? This would be on a stock motor w/ cats & manifolds.

From what I hear... ceteris paribus, Magnaflow is quieter. Haven't heard the hooker, but magnaflow sounds awesome.
