I would start off with 800 grit, sand it down, then finish it with either 1000 grit or 1500 grit. Then use adhesion promoter primer, filler primer, color then clear

U want to take the sharp edges out and use a fine grit sand paper to smooth out the rough marks made by the dremel. For the ports there are witness marks that tell u how much can be ported but port matching to ur heads will give better gains then just hoggin out the ports. On the inside where the runner turns make the transition as smooth as possible to keep the air from becoming turbulant. Turbualate air will kill ur power band and peak numbers.

As for it being smooth inside, on cars the use carbs this is true u dont want the walls to be smooth to keep the fuel atomized and suspended in the air but on a fuel injected car where the injector sprays in the cylinder head ports its not an issue as the cylinder head port walls are the concern to keep atomization.

I wouldn't touch the inside of a FAST 90. Thats like slapping their engineers across the face.

You do know they designed it to be ported, right? And porting typically shows 10-15 HP gains on a heads/cam motor over an unported intake? That's like saying "I would never change the cam on an LS1, its like slapping GM in the face."

I guess I didn't know that..... Then why pay 800 bucks for something you need to further modify?

Like stated above, it wont really matter because its direct port fuel injected. Anything over 600 would be overkill anyhow.

I agree about the price tag... but they made this intake for a stock car out of the box, with the options to further port it for modified cars. With all the different variances in engine mods, they designed an intake for a stock car and leave it up to the owner to do further modding if he/she feels the need...
