Default Replacing Intake Manifold gaskets with a BBK SSI?

I am getting ready to throw on my BBK SSI intake manifold. My car has 78,000 miles on it, do I need to replace the intake gaskets or can they be re-used. What is the best place to get them?

I thought those used paper gaskets or something? I don't think your stock ones will work for that. Let's see what everyone else says though...I could be wrong.

i would replace them. any auto parts store will have them, there about $20. i resued my gaskets from a 110k mile setup and they worked, but after i pulled the intake later on, i replaced them. i would just change them for what they cost

BBK SSI used stock style gaskets which is a much superior design to the paper style the typhoon intake used.

Also, i would recommend putting some loctite on the little screws on the underside of the intake. i had 5 of them come out within 3k miles of driving and ended up with a intake leak. just another suggestion so you dont have the same problems i had.

If your taking off your intake why wouldn't you replace the gaskets would be a better question. Your gonna risk having vacuum leaks and doing the job twice because of a gasket? Just buy yourself a set and don't worry about the leaks etc.

Your local parts store. Felpro makes a kit. Some of the sponsers here also sell the Felpro gasket set.
