will my battery run down faster and have more draw on it during city driving....will anything wear out early like the power steering pump??

I have a 2000 FRC which only comes with an m6. I have an asp ud pully, and ewp. With that being said I have never had an issue with charging the battery, or too much draw, but I also don't have any amps/speakers either.

Ud pullys, and EWP's don't really show a lot of hp on the dyno, but they do free up power by reducing parasitic drag. You will also see an improvement in gas mileage under normal driving, especially on the highway. I went from an easy driving 29 mpg (stock 346) expressway to a best of 34.5 mpg highway(h/c/e/i)with the ewp and pully coming back from LG Motorsports. This was in 2006 when I still had a 346. Don't know what the 402 is going to get as far as gas mileage. On the topic of your power steering pump, it should actually extend the life of it because its still turning fast enough to create the assist of the steering that it was intended to, but is actually spinning slower (less wear on it) so in theory it should last longer.

I am sure that you will be fine as long as your alternator is working properly and you don't have 50000 watt amps and 10 15" subs (LOL) J/K, you should be able to get away with a decent stereo too. Just keep an eye on your voltage. If your idle is too low to hold the charge then you can always turn up the idle rpms a bit to coax a bit more juice out of your alt so you don't have to worry about the dreaded dead battery. For the record my car usually showed 13.1 amps at idle with radio, lights, and a/c on. Idle was 1025 rpms on the 346. Not sure what the new 402 idles. At start up the display would show 14.0 / 14.1 or so and then settle back and show 13.0/13.1

Hope this helps.

Just remember reading several threads about guys with a4's complaining about charging issues. I don't recall ever hearing about any of the m6 cars with issues except this one guy that had a HUGE stereo system pulling a lot of juice. Come to think of it, not sure why it would matter. Just what I've seen.
