well after i order my exhaust this weekend i was thinkin about savin up and getting LT's and an ORY for before summer but here is the thing i want the ORY but will any SES lights turn on if i get the emissions headers and will they turn on with the ORY? i dont have inspection for 2 years from now so im not that worried but would rather not have to worry about it so would i just be better off getting catted y pipe and would it quiet it down ALOT? or just slightly? i heard you could just tune the SES out but i heard it still doesnt pass the obdII inspection or some ****?

Yeah, Daves car gets an SES light after driving for about 10-20 miles. I think a PO140 and PO160. "No Activity O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2" and "No Activity O2 Sensor Bank 2 Sensor 2" respectively. But that makes perfect sense due to the fact that its an ORY and with no place and no reason to install the rear O2's we simply unplugged them, therefor SES light. Small price to pay for the gain, plus eventually we'll get them tuned out and then the light will be gone. For now, I just use my code reader to erase it.

With the ORY there are obviously no cats so there was really no reason for us to install the emissions headers. With no cats there is no reason to keep the AIR system, but being the first time either of us had done this we didn't know any better. Just learning as we go...LOL

Having no cats shouldn't make it substantially louder. If you keep AIR, EGR, run an ORY with rear O2 sims, you should not throw a code.

I have QTP long tubes, ory, magnaflow catback...

it's not bad, i loved it when i first heard it. it has a nice rumble to it and sounds great at wide open throttle.

it can have some rasp to it but cats should take care of that.

true duals might sound better, but they are probably a lot louder in and outside the car.

a cutout will be a nice addition to mine if i choose to do so.

Depends what you're comparing it to.

If a True Dual setup, then yes - it likely does.

If a stock exhaust setup, then no - not at all...
