Default F-Body ASP pulley users
I was just wondering if all the ASP/timing chain related failures are isolated to Corvette setups. The post below was made in another thread and really got me thinking.

I'd like for some other ASP pulley users in F-Bodys to post up. Personally I installed my ASP back in about 2000 put a good 15-18K miles on it and 100's of track passes without issue. This was with the stock LS1 timing chain and spinning 6800 rpm's.

I've only had mine on for about 300 miles so far. So far so good. These haven't exactly been easy miles either. Most have been in the 6500rpm range.

this is literally somethign I was thinking of the past few days. I personally ahven't had any problems and I have a ls1 in a gto, and the asp has been fine. I have the non-sfi one

Can anybody tell from this pic of it's SFI model or not? In either case this is the one I have been using issue free for 8+ years on my car.

Mine ASP Pulley isn't SFI and haven't had any issues either. Iti s one of the older origional ones, like a solid one piece pulley.

That looks just like mine and I've never had any problems either.

Weren't the corvette problems on tracked cars rather than 1/4 mile passes? Switching from asp to ati for piece of mind during 20+ minutes of wot.

i think this whole ASP thing has gotten way out of hand and no one has produced any solid evidence.......TONS of people run UD pulleys w zero problems....

I had mine for 3 years lots of passes, on 2 different motors one with stock chain, now with a rollmaster double roller and its doing great

could someone post a picture of the SFI one if its not the one above

I have used ASP pulley's on past f-bodies and mustangs, never had a problem. I also have an ASP SFI UD on my current F-body.

The problem seems to be with the Gen IV stuff not Gen III.

I have used the same ASP pulley for 7 years without a problems. I shift my current setup at 7000-7200 rpms.
