Default Intake opinions

I just did a cam in my 98 Z28, (236/242) and I'm out of fuel uptop, so I definitly need to do injectors.

Should I leave well enough alone and keep my LS6/Ported throttle body or go to a PP 96MM Typhoon and larger TB?

I don't have the boot for a FAST 90/92 setup right now.

I would stay with the LS6 setup until you got the cash

Hmm. Thats the second person saying keep the LS6. Is the typhoon really that bad of an intake?

Yeah, that weiand is a mystery intake that MIGHT be out. I'm not going to bank on that, I want the car to be done by race season this year

I would look for some results on the typhoon...everyone always knocks it and how crappy it is but never says why

From what I understand, the first run of intakes had issues with fitment, but that had since been corrected.

Someone on here had a cammed GTO, and picked up 18 HP I believe from the Typhoon unit... and his car had an LS6 stock.

It's in the new summit catalog so I am guessing its out and it says that it gains like 30HP over the LS6 but I'm not too sure on that one but who knows.
I wouldn't use an aluminum intake unless I was spraying or FI and just for the pressure. Think the LS6 is outstanding for the price. But then again I only wish I had the money to drop a grand on a FAST 92 set up but in this world I don't

Yeah, but now the website says delivery is April... which has been pushed back many times.

I already do have a LS6, BTW.

What would need to be modified to run a LS2 intake?

I think the fuel rails?

LS6 + Stock Ported TB is your best bang for the buck.

Fast 92 setup if you want to upgrade. Anything in between is a compromise and not worth it.
