Electric Cutout Help
Electric Cutout Help I was looking into puchasing a Dmh electric cutout for my 2000 TransAm. I have two questions, I have a 3 inch y pipe, so I would need a 3 inch cutout? And how big of a section of pipe needs cut out in order for the cutout to fit?

To figure out how much pipe to cut out hold the cutout pipe up to where you want it. Mark it. Then cut.
Like 1999FirehawkLS1 said right under the passenger side rear seat theres a spot to tuck the cutout. Thats where I have mine.

If ya want man i can post pic of mine tonight when i get home around midnight so u can see how i got mine i got alot of ground clearence to real happy with mine.....one option like i did is had the exhaust shop plasma cut a hole in my I pipe and he took a 3in piece and sliced it to fit where he blew the hole in and wleded a 3 bolt 3 in header flange on it so there is no cutting and messing w flow haven the pipe slide into the other one....just make sure you get everyting before haven the exhaust shop weld the flow tech in before you get thte cut out this will save u alot of head ach
