Default ported stock ls1 intake vs ls6

thinking of porting my stock ls1 intake. Reputable guy at a machine shop would do it for me. Will it get me close to the same hp numbers as the same engine with an ls6 intake? He would be port matching the tb and heads as well. Anybody know of a comparison test that was done on this?

Sounds like you'd do more harm than good.

Hell I could do it for you, I won't promise any HP numbers though, but I will sand stuff off

read a little closer...and I wouldn't be asking about an ls1/6 intake if there was an lt1 in it

alot of the gains from the ls6 are due to plenum volumn and i think runner shape.

port matching and smoothing won't help that.

but whatever....go for it.

hope the guys gonna do it for free...otherwise it's money better spent on a use LS6
