98-99- 00-02 Lid differences?

hey guys, when you go to order a lid you have the option so therefore theres a difference, my friend has a 99 and wanted to sell me the lid so what is the difference if i put a 98-99 style lid on a 02 ls1 car?

i dont know but it sounds like it would go perfect with my car. maybe he should just sell it to me!!!

I believe the differences are that the 98-99 lids are a straight shot into the tubing that feeds the TB. The later year lids, have a hole/provision for the AIR system breather hose.

so if u get rid of the AIR during header install theres no difference and i can use the 98 one on my car?

That's correct. Most lids come with the provisions for air but use a grommett to plug the hole. The 98-00 air hooks to the exhaust and the 01-02's connect to the lid.
