I have an 01, would a 98-99 cable without traction control work? or does it need to be 01-02 without traction control? I assume they are different b/c the TB's are slightly different but I'm not sure since its for no TCS..

Do you need more than one cable? one for cruise one for throttle or are they the same cable?

here's the part numbers for the cables...

LS1 throttle cable (98-99, without TCS) = 12565559
LS1 throttle cable (00-02, without TCS) = 12565560

looks like about $30 shipped for gm parts direct..

relocating it is a little janky, but at least its all still in tact and functional. and even though you dont wanna hear it, just look how good it looks simply by relocating it.

That looks great, I may try this myself.

its up by the PCM, see the cabling running under the cowling from the TCS module to the driver's side of the car? yeah i know relocating it looks just fine but i might as well just get rid of it haha. thanks for your help guys, sounds like i just need to pull a fuse and replace cables...easy enough

its behind the PCM. you have the remove the bracket the TCS mounts to and it will fit there fine, i didnt even worry about securing it. no problems and it still works great.

Where are these wires located? Easily accessible? Do you know what do you have to do to get to them?

the wires are off of the harness to the ABS block....i think. i dont quite remember, but there is a thread on here somewhere that tells exactly what wires to splice together and u may be able to find a pinout for the ABS harness

Instead of grounding TCS wires you can simply buy a non-TCS ABS module if you can find one at a reasonable price. I want to remove my TCS as well and started looking into what is involved in delete.

I was thinking about also deleting my ABS which will make buying a Moser 9in. cheaper than if I needed a 3 or 4 channel rear end.

The only requirement I must have is the ability to still have cruise control.

thats true. also have to buy the ABS module under the dash frm a non-TCS car

delete is simple, u can do away with:
*ABS module
*ABS computer under dash
*wheelspeed sensors

u can still have cruise control. cruise runs off of its own computer. just need a diff cruise cable going directly to the TB

I woule really like to do away with TCS and Cruise. Too bad there is not a write up for this. Not to mention it is a little bit of a weight savings.

yeah cruise is a must...gotta have it for those long drives. ABS for me is also a must, just in case I have to slam on the breaks I'd like to be able to stop
