Default Traction Control Delete....How to??

Ok so I've done the searching and all I've found is pages and pages of people yelling back and forth about why its a dumb idea or why they want to delete it but I've found no clear details of how to delete traction control.

I'm looking to buy a 2001 T/A and it has TCS, but I hate how it looks in the engine bay and I'm all about a clean and uncluttered engine bay. I want to know how to get rid of it, and I don't want to just "hide" it by the PCM. This T/A is priced right and is everything I've been looking for except the TCS.

Please don't make this a discussion about why its dumb or why one should/should not delete their TCS. If that is what you are going to say, please don't post in this thread. All I want is a how-to step by step and what is needed to do it, thank you

remove the TCS module. have to get a new TB and cruise cable. all there is to it. if u wanna get more technical and remove all TCS stuff, swap the 4 channel rear setup for a 3 channel

If it's just the engine bay clutter that you're trying to clean up; there are a few guys who have relocated the module to behind the PCM and it definitely makes it look a lot cleaner over-all.

swap the 4 chan for a 3 chan, ground the appropriate wires in the abs module, removed parts you no longer need (not sure on the parts, but depending on how hard it is, ill be doing the same since i have a newly acquired 3rd gen 12 bolt)

haha so there is more to it than simply removing the TCS module and swapping cables? I was thinking maybe the rears would have to be changed from 4 channel to 3 channel...but was hoping not. What about PCM reflashes to a stock setting without TCS? I'm thinking if you just took out the module and swapped cableing then the PCM might still go apeshit when it sensed wheel slips and would pull timing/fueling ect. I wish someone would have a writeup for this, im thinking about writing one if i get the car and I have to do this.

ground the appropriate wires in the ABS module...that seems pretty vague haha. which wires are you talking about and what would this do? is getting a 3 channel a MUST? also will i need to reflash to a PCM without TCS

does your PMC still pull timing/fuel when your wheels start to slip? or does everything work perfectly fine? did you reflash your PCM?

i think when I get my car, if it has TCS, then im going to start experimenting with things myself to see what needs to be done.

ill start by taking out the module and replacing the TB cables, then if that doesnt work then I'll reflash the PCM to a setting without TCS, if that still messes things up ill replace the rear. If it still hasnt completely fixed everything I'll have many questions for everyone haha

in one of the fuse boxes there is a traction control fuse. cars without it dont have a fuse in so i dont see the harm in just yanking it out. its possible you might get a light in the gauge cluster but then again a lot or most didnt come with it so i wouldnt think it would. try that, by far easiest way lol.

1st of all I definitely wouldn't let TCS keep you from buying the car. TCS is not the devil. Unless you just want to get rid of TCS entirely, just get a TCS reverse logic module so that TCS is always turned off until you hit the button and turn it on. I do believe if you remove or disable TCS you will need to remove the bulb in the dash or tape over it because you can't tune that out.

yeah i knew SLP sold something like that, but like i said i hate how it looks in the engine bay. dont get me wrong im not so lazy that i cant push a button when I want TCS off, its the engine bay clutter that gets me the most. i just think its ugly and I want it out haha. I'm not going to let it keep me from buying a car with it, I'm actually going to look at one on Monday that has it, this is why i started this thread. and yeah...that dang "TCS OFF" light will have to be taped over/removed

its way simpler than everyone thinks. just unplug and remove the TCS module. once that circuit is open the TCS is disabled just as if you hit the switch. leave the rear end the same. all you need to do is get a new throttle cable and a new cruise control cable.

relocating it is a little janky, but at least its all still in tact and functional. and even though you dont wanna hear it, just look how good it looks simply by relocating it.

Where would you get the appropriate cables?
