1 of the o-rings were bad I assume?

i actually have the same exact problem now... i have ls3 crate motor that i swapped the pan out for the lh8 pan and pickup .. i made sure that everything went together smoothly but went to prime my motor today and no readin on electric gauge. hooked up a mechanical and nothing with .. ill have to loo into this problem then

well with this bothering me i went out to the garage and pulled the pan off the motor. everything seemed to be fine and the o ring for the pick up was in tack and not damaged in any way.. any other suggestions

oil pumps are known for the relief valves sticking. and that is about the 5th time i've heard or seen an oil pan gasket cause that problem. and on a gen 4 motor there is a relief valve in the pan that is bad about sticking.
i prime oil pumps with assembly lube in the pump.
