Default Rubber grommet for IAT sensor has a small tear - ok to reuse?

I'm installing a lid on my car and my IAT sensor rubber grommet has a small tear in it about 2mm long right at the point where it goes into the lid (where it gets smaller). Other than that it looks good. Is it ok to reuse it? I assume I tore it while pulling that stupid sensor out but it may have already been that way for all I know.

Once I put the sensor back into the grommet I realized there is no way in hell that thing is going anywhere even with that tear in it. Wow, what a pain in the *** that was! Thanks for the posts.

spit/liquid soap/wd40/Vaseline/KY jelly..... any of those will help with the install of that grommet...
